South Carolina United FC Lexington Has Arrived
Starting with this weekend’s Jr. Academy Evaluations and continuing with our upcoming Select Tryouts later in May, South Carolina United FC will form a very limited number of Jr. Academy and Select teams in Lexington County which shall play under the “South Carolina United FC – Lexington” badge and train within Lexington County on fields secured by South Carolina United FC. For Lexington County families on the Lexington side of the Dam, your child’s Jr. Academy Evaluations will be held on the Lexington YMCA fields located on YMCA Road off Hwy. 6. Congratulations to SCUFC 99 Boys Elite team members, Campbell Shealy, Grayson Barber and Cameron Smith for being invited to participate in the National Identification Development Program (id2) that took place April 11th-14th in Charleston, SC. These 3 boys represented the ‘badge’ and South Carolina, out of 54 total boys born in the year 2000 from over 40 clubs and 24 states, with coaches and scouts from US Club Soccer’s id2 Program, U.S. Soccer, college and club teams. Catherine "Loranna" Austin, member of SCUFC’s 99 Girls Elite team, was invited to participate in National Identification Development Program (id2) that took place April 11th-14th in Charleston, SC. Loranna was the only girl from South Carolina who was invited to participate in this program. [read more]

Project Training - New Complex Being Built!
WWW.THESTATE.COM - South Carolina United FC has purchased about 24 acres off I-20 in Columbia with plans for its second privately owned six-field soccer complex. For years the soccer club had been saving money and looking for the right piece of land to complement its complex in Ballentine. The new complex, just off the Monticello Road exit, will be more centrally located for practice for local players in the Midlands and convenient to interstates for players who travel from outside the Midlands to train with S.C. SCUFC 96 Girls Elite
96 Girls Elite are co-Champions at 2013 Jefferson Cup
The Jefferson Cup, which was held March 15-17, has become associated with tournaments such as the Dallas Cup, The San Diego Surf Cup, WAGS Women’s Tournament, and the Disney College Showcase as one of the five premier North American tournaments in the country.
Finishing tied for first place in their college showcase bracket, the SCUFC 96 Girls Elite accomplished back-to-back top finishes in Richmond; as they won their flight last year, as well as winning their flight at Disney in January. [read more]

SCUFC presents fight against Breast Cancer another positive punch
South Carolina United FC presented a check for $3,600 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation at their Annual End of Season Awards Ceremony on January 8, 2013. The money was raised from it’s "Pink Jersey Campaign" in October 2012, when over 1,200 pink jerseys were sold to players and families to show support for those who are battling this disease.

SCUFC's Clarissa Gold Invited to ODP National Camp
US Youth Soccer and Region III ODP have invited SCUFC’s own Clarissa Gold to attend the 2013 ODP National Development Camp. This invitation-only event will be held at the Reach 11 soccer complex in Phoenix AZ January 29-February 3. Players from all four regions will be trained and evaluated by 28 of the top coaches from across the country.

96 Girls Elite are 2012 Disney Showcase Champions!
Disney Showcase is the ultimate place for top clubs to be seen by hundreds of college coaches looking for great soccer talent. Rated #1 youth soccer tournament in US by "Soccer America" magazine, it gives athletes a chance to shine on one of the biggest stages set for youth soccer in this country.
On the way to the finals, the girls convincingly beat Cincinnati United Crew Jrs 3-0, and in spite of an only 1-0 scoreline, completely dominated 11th nationally ranked United German Hungarians from PA. In the final, thanks to brilliant goalkeeping, stellar defense and extremely creative attacking play, the girls came out with a 1-0 victory over Ohio Galaxies Elite and their 3rd clean sheet of the tournament!

PDL and Youth Soccer Program Unite in 2013

GREENWOOD, S.C. – Palmetto Football Club, Inc., South Carolina's only USL Premier Development League (PDL) franchise, announced today it has teamed-up with South Carolina United FC, South Carolina's largest youth soccer club with more than 4,600 players ages 4-19. Commencing with the 2013 season, the Palmetto Football Club's PDL team will compete across the Southeast and beyond as the SC United FC Bantams donning new Under Armour uniforms over the course of their 16-match season which runs from May to July and features many of the top collegiate soccer players from the region including those from the University of South Carolina, Clemson University, Winthrop University, Lander University and Wofford University. SCU Battery 14 Pre-Academy wins Regional
7 SCUFC Players Compete on Team to Win Regional Championship
Seven SCUFC players helped compel the South Carolina United Battery 14 Pre-Academy team to the first ever Southeast Pre-Academy League Regional Championship with wins over CASL Chelsea 97 (1-0), Kendall SC 97 (3-2) and Charlotte Soccer Academy 97 (4-0). The team will now represent the SEPAL Region at the National Premier League Champions Cup in Chicago, IL in July. [read more]
