Welcome to South Carolina United FC!
With over 4,400 youth soccer players, ages U4-U19, we offer several quality soccer programs for any child who desires to play soccer at a level commensurate with his or her abilities regardless of race, religion or socio-economic background. Our "One Community-One Club-One Passion-All Youth-All Levels-All Soccer" mindset is something we take extreme pride in as our reach toward making a positive impact on the lives of children and young adults through soccer. This reach now extends across 21 counties and two states! As you will read when you scroll through our website, you will see that ours is a highly organized club which provides introductory/basic participation programming (Recreation), ball skill mastery and team tactics programming (Jr. Academy) and competitive team selection and higher level training programming (Select) which best fits the player's current developmental needs. Since 2005, we have had over 108 of our players go on to play NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III soccer, NAIA soccer, Junior College soccer and have had players invited to various USYSA Region III and USSF National team camps and international competitions.
At South Carolina United FC, we also take pride in the fact that no player has ever been denied the ability to play for our club because he or she cannot afford to play. Through the generous support from our quality sponsors like BB&T of South Carolina, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of South Carolina, Midlands Orthopaedics and charitable donors, our non-profit organization is able to provide financial assistance to families who truly need such help to enable their children to participate.
In 2011 and 2012, you will see organizational changes as we continue to evolve and improve our service for our players and their families. With the naming of Tripp Miller as our Executive Director, Adrian Pinasco as our new Youth Development and Coaching Curriculum Director, Rob Strickland as our Director of Boys Soccer, Dick Hiller as our Director of Boys Player Development, Phil Savitz ads our Director of Girls Soccer and Tomasz Kluszczynski as our Director of Girls Player Development, our Soccer Leadership team has been expanded. In the coming year you will see us transition and blend our programming and resources to place even more emphasis on ball mastery and player development as we expose our younger players to our Soccer Leadership on a more systematic basis.
To those players and parents who have always called us "home", thank you so much for your loyalty and support. We certainly would not be where we are today (and heading tomorrow!) without you! To those of you who may be visiting our website for the first time, thank you for taking a look. If you are intrigued by what you see and would like to learn more, please feel free to email or call any member of our Soccer Leadership team and they will be more than happy to speak with you!
Yours in Soccer,
Ron Tryon
