One of the goals of South Carolina United is to provide the best soccer environment that promotes opportunities to earn athletic scholarships and gain admission to highly competitive colleges and universities of choice. Good soccer and good education go to the heart of our core philosophy. SCUFC boys’ teams achieve this as the only club in South Carolina that offers USSF’s “Development Academy” program fielding two teams comprised of U15/U16 players and U17/U18 players. We were a charter member of this program that started in 2007 now entering its third year. We are introducing our Elite Girls Showcase Program this year to provide similar opportunities for U15 and U16 girls.

| Last year, due to national exposure offered in USSF’s “Development Academy,” we had four players earn athletic scholarships to out of state schools they would have never been exposed to if not for the “Development Academy”. |
