Columbia United FC is proud to announce that Tripp Miller and Robert Strickland will be leading our youth recreational soccer league at Columbia United FC for the 2007-2008 season.
Tripp will be serve as the East Recreational Manager. He also serves as one of Columbia United FC’s Co-Directors of Soccer for our Select Soccer program, along with Phil Savitz. Tripp has been involved with Columbia United FC and formerly at NECSA for over 8 years. He has coached and served as Age Group Coordinator of the program this past year and previously coordinated the recreational program for NECSA. Tripp also is co-owner of Soccer Plus, which provides soccer specialty equipment to the greater Columbia area out of his Two Notch Road store. He is coaching the 91 Girls Elite team this year. Tripp’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the club’s East Recreational program at Polo Road.
Rob was a varsity letterman and graduate of Lander University and will serve the club as West Recreational Manager. He was born and raised in the United Kingdom and played on junior squads for Sheffield United FC of Sheffield, England. A resident of Irmo, Rob is a registered representative for New York Life Securities by day, and has for the last two years, donated his non-professional time to Columbia United FC by coaching this year’s 91 Boys Elite and 93 Boys Elite teams. Rob sees his service as a way to help children learn to love the game of soccer just as other did for him growing up. Rob will be primarily responsible for overseeing the club’s West Recreational program at Ballentine Park.
