Several of Columbia United FC’s Select teams traveled to Charlotte on August 18 and 19, 2007, to participate in the 6th Annual Dick’s - Charlotte Invitational tournament.

All teams represented our club very well.  The 92 Boys Elite finished the tournament with a 3-0-1 record with 11 goals for and two against. Although, they had to play under extremely “hot” conditions this tournament was a good warm-up for the Premier League season which starts in late August.

The 91 Boys Palmetto team started the season with a championship run in the tournament.  The team competed in the U-16 Gold Division and overcame triple-digit temperatures and aggressive opponents to finish the tournament with a record of 4-0, scoring 9 goals and yielding only 2.
