The Coaching Staff of South Carolina United FC is very pleased with the overall number  of talented female soccer players who attended one or more of the various tryouts  held over the past few weeks. To each of you who came, thank you for your interest in playing for South Carolina United FC. It is the intention of South Carolina United FC to provide supplemental training and Showcase tournament exposure to female players rostered on its teams.

Due to the large number of female players who attended tryouts in the U14 and U15 age group, South Carolina United FC has decided to form a U14 Elite Girls Showcase team for which we will strive to have play in the same events as our previously announced U15-17 Elite Girls Showcase teams. We use the 'term" strive because not all college recruiting Showcase Tournaments offer U14 participation but our U14 team will play in quality tournaments and receive the same level of training our U15-U17 team members experience. 

Additionally, because we have heard from so many coaches and parents of players that high school practice and/or matches, club practice and matches or school work and school events caused many players to not be able to attend our previous tryout dates, please know South Carolina United FC is scheduling one additional tryout session to enable all players one last chance to be evaluated for team selection.  The final tryout session will be held on June 6, 2009, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the BB&T Complex in Balentine. Any female player who has already tried out at one of the previous sessions is welcome to attend at no additional charge. Any female player trying out for the first time on June 6 will need to pre-register on-line at www.southcarolinaunitedfc.com by 10:00p.m on June 5.
