The most important two things to remember are to (1) sign up and (2) select the correct league where you would like your child to practice and play games. A link to apply online will be emailed to returning players several weeks before the beginning of each season. 1. Player team assignments can be accessed by logging into your online account.  Contact information for your coach will also be available here.

2. Your coach will be in touch with you after teams are formed and before the first games. If you have not heard from your coach within one week before the season’s first weekend, please contact your Community Division contact.

3. Coaches will distribute game and practice schedules, uniforms, and picture information.  Picture schedules are posted online for each week that they are scheduled.

4. Parents and players can review South Carolina United YMCA’s current game rules and regulations in our recreational coaches info section.

5. Players are required to wear shin guards to all games and practices. For other equipment information, please see: "What equipment does my child need to play soccer?" under the Frequently Asked Questions section. 

6. This game is for the children! Parents are expected to set examples for their children by refraining from unsportsmanlike behavior. Bad attitudes or language will not be tolerated. Any player, coach or parent will be instructed to leave the soccer complex if either of these occur. No questions asked!

7. Do not abuse the referee. Anyone who addresses the referee in a negative manner will be instructed to leave the soccer complex.

8. Parents are encouraged to help coaches organize halftime and post-game snacks. Many teams also hold season-ending parties to honor the players and coaches.

9. Check out Latest News from our home page announcements on a regular basis for up-to-date information. Any questions (or complaints) not answered by this site should be directed towards your Community Division contact.

In case of inclement weather on practice and game days, please first check the website to see the status of the field for your game.  Or you can call our Weather Hotline at 1-877-1 L SCUFC (457-2832) Ext. 50 to hear the most recent field closings. Fields will close if the conditions are wet and soggy.
