South Carolina United FC (SCUFC) serves over 5,000 Midlands youth (Fall and Spring) who compete at different levels throughout the greater Columbia area. Soccer encourages team play and individual skill development while having fun. Participants will learn new skills and make friends along the way. 

The SCUFC Recreational Soccer program is for children ages 3-18. SCUFC offers recreational soccer programs at the Polo Road Park soccer complex and the Ballentine Park soccer complex.

SCUFC uses uniforms for a 2-year cycle. This will be the last season of the 2-year cycle.
ALL NEW PLAYERS MUST purchase a uniform.

Coach Appreciation Discount:  Parents who volunteer to coach his/her child's recreational soccer team and complete the 3 required items below by the first league match will receive a $25 refund. If you are a returning coach and have completed the 3 items within a year, you will receive a discount code to use when registering. If you are a new coach or returning coach who has NOT completed the below items, please e-mail Tripp Miller once they have been completed, and he will send you the discount code and/or refund your credit card the $25 discount.

ONLY the Head Coach will receive the $25 discount.
ONLY 1 coach/team may receive the $25 discount.

All coaches must complete 3 required items every year before the first practice. Once you are confirmed as a coach, you will be able to access all training and background checks in PlayMetrics under the SC Youth Soccer role.

• CURRENT SCYS Background Screening
• Completed SAFESPORT Training and received a certificate
• Health and Safety Training

• Completed either the Introduction to Grassroots Training Course (dcc.ussoccer.com) or have a coach's license - FREE - MUST BE COMPLETED ONCE.

The registration fee includes a Medal for coaches to award each player at the season's end.

Games:

All teams will be guaranteed 8 games. Games will normally be played on Saturdays between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Some games for odd team brackets may be scheduled for Sunday afternoon between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. If there is more than one rain-out weekend, the game(s) will normally be rescheduled for a Sunday afternoon.

Recreational Refund Policy:

All refund requests must be received in writing with a reason for not participating.   ONLY the registration fees are refundable. Any uniform, late fee, or other fees paid are non-refundable.

No refund requests will be honored after the 3rd week of the season.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The application will be reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee, and you will be contacted via email with the decision and amount to be awarded. 

Any balance due must be paid prior to the season for your son/daughter to play on a team. 

All previous balances must be paid in full before your application will be considered for another season.
